DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Abbey fell in love with dance at a young age. In 2010, when Compass Dance Academy first opened, she began pursuing her passion more intentionally. During her eight years of dancing at Compass, she trained in ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz within the ensemble under Linda Wells and Sara Gratzer until she graduated from high school. Her passion for teaching dance began when she was given the opportunity to assist many of the wonderful teachers at Compass. While dancing her junior and senior years, she also was given many classes

of her own as a student-teacher.

After taking a year off of school to do mission work, it didn’t take her long to return to Compass as a teacher while also a full-time student at Kennesaw State University, studying elementary education. The opportunity to teach dance to young hearts has been the perfect blending of her two loves; dance and kids.

Abbey is grateful to be back in the studio where she truly learned to love dance with the intent to please the Lord and is thrilled to be able to share that passion with her students.
