COMPASS DANCE ENSEMBLE

A unit or group of complementary parts that contribute to a single effect.

At Compass Dance Academy we strive to serve all the different individuals that come to dance with us, whether an adult that just wants to move and enjoy dancing for God or a little child that dreams of becoming a ballerina. We want to offer this place to anyone that has a desire to dance and wants to learn how to use it for God’s Kingdom. As the studio has grown, we have noticed that some children who dance with us have a deep desire and passion to grow in their gift and it is for these students we offer our ensemble groups.  These groups were formed for the students and families that can and want to fit this into their life because their child has a deep desire to learn and dance as much as possible.

WHAT WILL ENSEMBLE GROUPS DO?

The Ensemble groups will dance annually in the spring concert along with the rest of the Compass Dance Academy students; however, in addition to that the ensemble groups will have two additional opportunities to dance in local venues in order to promote missions. These performances will happen yearly in December and April.  This is a great opportunity for us to work with these dancers and help them see the connection between dance and the Kingdom of God. We won’t sell tickets for these concerts, but we will take an offering. These donations will either support the Compass mission fund or the work we are doing at Compass. As we pray and God directs, other dance opportunities for the ensemble members might come up such as Tyrone Founder’s Day, church events, or other festivals. We pray that God will open doors for outreach in our community for our Ensemble dancers during the year in addition to the opportunities already mentioned.
